Higher Study in India

Merchant Navy is having very good career in India and abroad. There is basically three type of courses in Merchant Navy study. Deck Cadet, GME, Marine Engineering. Deck officers are responsible for navigation of the ship.  Engineers are responsible for technical jobs like maintenance of engine and other machines in the ship.  One can enter  in to the navigation department of the ship by doing one year deck cadet course. After the success full completion of GME(Graduate in Mechanical Engineering) course, candidate can join the mechanical section of the ship.  Some institutes are give four year marine engineering course.
